Tony Odendaal

Tony is a Medical Logistician, trained by the SA Defence force. He has a postgraduate qualification in Logistics from the University of Pretoria. He comes from a paramedical environment, having originally trained as a Health Inspector.

Marita van Rooyen

Marita is a Pharmacist with extensive logistics knowledge. Her logistics knowledge is enhanced by a background in the development of the Essential Drugs List, Evidence Based Medicine and basic skills in Pharmaco-economics.

The Team

We are a multi skilled team of two encompassing knowledge of:

• logistics management of medical stock in the African context
• pharmaceutical knowledge as applied in the distribution chain.
• product coding using NATO codification, EAN coding, National formularies and multiple in-house coding systems including the development of unique coding systems
• pharmaceutical product classification utilising ATC, MIMS, MRA, INN , USP and BP methodologies.

We have expertise in:

• business analysis and functional testing in support of development of stock management systems.
• functional logistics support to contractors implementing stock management systems.
• training of personnel in logistics management.
• determination of management information needs, data evaluation and reporting needs.
• managing data migration from legacy systems.
